Overview
Our Loafer Canyon Ward emergency preparedness leaders have prepared a comprehensive emergency planning guide focused on two primary survival strategies: evacuation and sheltering in place.
The manual is designed to prepare families for high-risk scenarios like wildfires and earthquakes. It outlines immediate evacuation protocols, including prioritizing "Grab and Go" items, utilizing 72-hour kits, and safeguarding critical documents. For situations requiring residents to remain at home, this manual provides a 12-step program covering emergency shelter, alternative heating and cooking methods, and off-grid hygiene and sanitation. Additionally, it establishes specific guidelines for long-term survival readiness.
